LANSING – State Representatives Adam F. Zemke (D-Ann Arbor) and Andy Schor (D-Lansing) announced today their bet on the upcoming Michigan-Michigan State football game this Saturday in East Lansing. Zemke is an alumnus of Michigan State, and Schor is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, and both will be cheering on their alma maters. The supporter of the losing team has agreed to address the House floor on Tuesday, Nov. 5, while donning a tie of the opposing team, in recognition of the winning team’s accomplishments.

“This friendly rivalry game is something that Michiganders, including myself, look forward to each and every year,” Zemke said. “I am looking forward to a Spartan victory and to hearing Rep. Schor’s heartfelt congratulatory speech on the House floor this coming Tuesday.”

Coincidentally, the two representatives’ districts are in close proximity to the opposite schools that they attended.

“I look forward to Rep. Zemke finally donning the Maize and Blue on the House floor next Tuesday,” Schor said. “This is a great rivalry for the teams and the fans of college football in Michigan and nationwide. I am confident the Wolverines will fight hard and be the victors on rival turf in East Lansing on Saturday.”
