DETROIT — Today, state Rep. Isaac Robinson (D-Detroit) participated in a National Disability Independence Day event to commemorate the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1994. In response, Rep. Robinson issued the following statement:
“It was inspiring to see so many community organizations come together to celebrate and support the differently-abled and their families. The ADA laid an important foundation, but we must continue to build on that progress to ensure no member of our community is prevented from experiencing true equality when accessing quality health care, employment and transportation. I’m looking forward to continuing this work with my colleagues in the 100th Legislature.”
