LANSING — State Rep. Terry Sabo (D-Muskegon) has once again been appointed to serve in a highly-visible bipartisan role on the IT Cost Task Force. The Special Panel will evaluate the cost and efficiency of the state’s information technology projects, which also helps protect the private information of citizens and businesses that engage with the state government. In response, Rep. Sabo issued the following statement:

“I’m honored to be appointed to this task force and look forward to continuing to work across the aisle to address this issue. This sort of bipartisan cooperation produces the best results for our communities and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support those efforts that ensure the cyber-security of state government information. We also must be vigilant of state government’s vulnerability from outside cyber-security threats. It is more important than ever to provide the funding necessary for IT departments to protect the sensitive information of those who use state IT systems.”
