LANSING, Mich., Feb. 4, 2021 — House Republicans push legislation that would leave needed COVID-19 vaccine funding and other money in Washington, D.C. In response, Rep. Bill Sowerby (D-Clinton Twp) issued the following statement:

“The supplemental budget pushed through by House Republican’s barely uses one quarter of the money that we received from the federal government. There is no reason to leave that money that can go to feeding and housing Michigan families on the table. We must release the full $5 billion in federal dollars to help Michigan workers, small businesses, families and schools impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
