LANSING — State Rep. Bill Sowerby (D-Clinton Township) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 31st House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Sowerby issued the following statement:
“My 28 years of experience as a local elected official, along with the knowledge I gained in my first term in the legislature helped me to make good voting decisions in Lansing on behalf of the people I represent. In my 2nd term, I am committed to improving K-12 public education, taking on our clean water and PFAS crises, fighting to increase wages and providing affordable health care for Michigan’s hard working families.”
