“Every day we wait to begin holding polluters accountable inches us closer to causing irreparable harm to our natural resources and our state’s public health. The laws we currently have on the books are too weak, and the bad actors of this state continually take advantage to the detriment of Michiganders and our communities. My bill would repeal Public Act 581 of 2018 and ensure we are able to mandate stricter polluter cleanup criteria, holding polluters accountable for the damage they are causing.”
