LANSING – State Representative Winnie Brinks (Grand Rapids) took part in the opening ceremonies for the 97th session of the Michigan House of Representatives today in Lansing. Brinks represents the 76th House District, which comprises areas of Grand Rapids.

“I am truly honored and humbled by the task of serving the people of the 76th District,” Brinks said. “I know that people have sent me to Lansing to restore credibility and accountability to this office, and it’s a job I take seriously. I am ready to get to work representing the people of Grand Rapids and working toward their goals, such as ensuring their kids receive a world-class education and bringing good-paying jobs to our area.”

Brinks was joined at the ceremony by her husband, Steve, and her daughters Annalise, Emma and Olivia.
