LANSING – State Representative Frank Liberati (D-Allen Park) was officially sworn into office today at the state Capitol with other members of the 98th Michigan Legislature during a ceremony on the House floor that kicked off the 2015-2016 legislative session.

“As a state, Michigan is facing some very tough challenges; I am humbled that the residents of the 13th District have put their trust in me, and I won’t forget it when I make decisions that affect them,” said Liberati, who represents Allen Park, Southgate and part of Dearborn Heights in the House. “I look forward to working with my colleagues from around the state to improve the lives of the hardworking men and women that make Michigan great.”

Late last week, Democratic Whip Robert Kosowski (D-Westland) appointed Liberati to be assistant caucus whip. “I’m also grateful to Representative Kosowski for entrusting me with a position on the leadership team and a seat at the table. I’m excited and ready to get to work.”
