“Each and every day our courageous and dedicated men and women in law enforcement put their lives on the line to protect and serve our beloved community. Officer McClain was a remarkable example of selflessness and bravery, and made the ultimate sacrifice as the result of a senseless act of violence that also critically injured his partner, Officer Phillippe Batoum-Bisse, who we all wish a speedy recovery. We must keep fighting to end this cycle of violence in Detroit.
