“I would have to be ‘bat shit crazy’ to believe that the Senate’s rejection of Ms. Mitterling just happened to coincide with the partisan rancor over another of the governor’s nominations to this commission. A qualified candidate is losing the opportunity to serve the people of Michigan because Senate Republicans want to play partisan games. You would think that the good of the state and the people that live here would outweigh their desire to arbitrarily challenge the governor; but as we have seen, that is often not the case with my colleagues across the aisle.”
