"The Republican teacher retirement plan is fiscally irresponsible and will worsen a growing teacher shortage problem in Michigan. As legislators, we should be coming together to address the real problems facing our state, such as our crumbling roads, and putting more resources into classrooms. Instead, legislative Republicans are choosing to demonize our teachers instead of building on the retirement reforms that were made a few years back.”
