“I’m proud to participate in such a great annual tradition that is March is Reading Month. I was happy to visit six different schools in Pontiac and Auburn Hills to read to different age groups and grades. Literacy and reading comprehension is the foundation that every child’s education rests on. That is why reading to children at an early age is so vital. The earlier children are read to by their family and care providers, the better a vocabulary they have and the easier it will be for them to learn to read and write. My hope is that we will continue to support education and learning outside of one month, and will continue to fight for the adequate resources our schools need to teach our children.”
