“I’m disappointed that Rep. John Olumba decided on this course of action and is leaving the Democratic Caucus. Since taking over as Leader I have been available to each and every member of the Democratic Caucus to listen to their concerns and ideas for how to move our caucus forward. Specifically, I have reached out to Rep. Olumba on multiple occasions and have never heard back. We received no advance knowledge of this decision, just as the caucus received no advance knowledge of his weeks long vow of silence in December. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors as an Independent.”
