“I am deeply disappointed that House Republicans are once again attacking the ability of Michigan workers to earn a living wage. In passing House Bill 4052, which prohibits local communities from passing local minimum wage laws or benefit requirements, House Republicans are telling Michigan workers that they don’t deserve good wages and paid sick leave, while eroding local municipalities’ ability to take steps toward improving their economies. Instead of cutting wages for Michiganders, we should be finding solutions that help hardworking men and women achieve financial security for their families.”
