“I’m proud that we have sent a bill to the governor’s office that will bring health care to more than 400,000 people in Michigan who currently have none. Unfortunately, Senate Republicans, by not granting the bill immediate effect, missed another opportunity to save Michigan hundreds of millions of dollars and bring health care to Michiganders as quickly as possible. I am grateful that quality medical care will be available to hard-working people who currently have none, but it is a disgrace that they will wait longer to receive it than they need to, and it is shameful that taxpayers will pay extra for the delay.”
