I am pleased that the governor signed this common-sense legislation into law to support the small-business party store owners in my district, who are valuable members of our community, and the beer and wine wholesalers they work with. I’m proud to be a part of a bipartisan bill package that will help retailers and wholesalers better run their businesses, while also increasing penalties for those who don’t play by the rules and illegally import large amounts of alcohol into the state. I look forward to seeing this legislation, now Public Act 83 of 2017, implemented.
