“My fellow Democrats and I have heard from many of our colleagues across the aisle that their top priority is helping businesses create jobs. I don’t see how we are helping businesses when we destroy our schools’ ability to produce the well-prepared workers that they need, which is exactly what this radical, job-killing budget does. Our children deserve the opportunity to succeed and be part of a thriving Michigan economy. By making these drastic, unnecessary cuts to education, we are denying them that opportunity and denying our businesses the tools they need to succeed as well.”
