LANSING — The Michigan House of Representatives held its annual ceremony in remembrance of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, also honoring the sacrifices of the service members and first responders from Michigan who died in the line of duty over the previous year. In recognition, state Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Township) issued the following statement:
“Today’s ceremony was a solemn and humbling experience. First responders and service members take on the immense burden of keeping our communities, our state and our nation safe. Remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice this year and recognizing those who continue to put everything on the line for their fellow citizens is the very least we can do to show our gratitude for these brave men and women.”
