LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder delivered his final State of the State address this evening. In response, state Rep. David LaGrand (D-Grand Rapids) issued the following statement:

“As he delivered his final State of the State address, Gov. Rick Snyder made his pitch for Michigan to be known as the ‘Comeback State,’ but when I listen to my constituents, I hear something different. They tell me how they’re working harder than ever but struggle to make ends meet. They tell me that their kids have to leave the state just to find a good job that will let them build a career and start a family. They tell me that their roads are broken, and that families in Flint and now northern Kent County are scared to drink their tap water. This is what broken leadership looks like, and it’s time for a real change. I look forward to building up Michigan and making sure that working families share in its success.”
