LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder signed a $175 million supplemental road funding bill today. In response, state Rep. Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) issued the following statement:
“High quality infrastructure provides people the freedom to go to work, get an education and connect with others. There is no denying how critically important this additional road funding is for our communities, as our roads continue to deteriorate. And though I am proud to have supported this bill to send more money to our communities for road repairs, it still falls far short of the total funding we need to fully fix our roads. House Democrats are focused on robust, innovative solutions to not only make our roads safer to travel on, but to help Michiganders save more of their hard-earned money.”
