“I am excited to announce that I will serve on three House committees this term: Commerce and Trade, Michigan Competitiveness, and Workforce and Talent Development. I would also like to thank House Speaker Tom Leonard and Democratic Leader Sam Singh for naming me the Democratic vice chairwoman of the Michigan Competitiveness Committee. In order to make Michigan an attractive state for businesses, professionals and working families, we need to enact policies that help companies create more and better jobs, broaden training and vocational programs to help workers qualify for those jobs, and support for employees to improve their quality of life and economic security. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to achieve these goals over the next two years.”
