LANSING — The House Pharmacy Caucus held its first meeting today. Caucus co-chairman state Rep. Scott Dianda (D-Calumet) issued the following statement:

“I was pleased to co-chair, along with state Rep. Hank Vaupel (R-Fowlerville), the first meeting of the House Pharmacy Caucus and begin addressing issues affecting pharmacists across the state. Pharmacists are another link in the health care provider chain and play an important role in our communities. Today, we began discussions on the opioid crisis and the role played by pharmacists in addressing it. I look forward to having more discussions and working with pharmacists and my legislative colleagues on solutions.”
