“I am very pleased to learn that Michigan Technological University has won approval for their Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Advanced Materials Innovation Hub. The university was also approved for $525,000 in MTRAC funding over two years to help this project bring new technologies to the marketplace. This is great news for the Advanced Materials program that has already resulted in new start-ups, new jobs and other spin-off projects. I congratulate MTU administrators and faculty for their great work, and I look forward to hearing about more new projects, jobs and start-ups to come out of this program in the future.”
