Statement from state Rep. Terry Sabo (D-Muskegon) on his appointment as Democratic vice chairman of the House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee:

“I am honored to have received the appointments from Speaker Tom Leonard and Democratic Leader Sam Singh to serve on the House Local Government and House Agriculture committees, as well as the vice chairman for the House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. I have arranged my first meeting with committee Chairman Jason Wentworth, and I look forward to collaborating with him and my fellow committee members to provide real-world, bipartisan solutions to the many problems facing veterans here in Michigan.”
