LANSING — Today, the House of Representatives unanimously passed House Bill 5190, which would expand the Michigan Liquor Control Code to include the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Tour Champions Tournament in the list of sporting events to be issued a national sporting event liquor license. In response, state Rep. Tim Sneller (D-Burton), the sponsor of the bill, issued the following statement:

“This bill will not only encourage the PGA to return to Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc later this year, but it will also attract tourists from around the country to our state. I am grateful that my colleagues in the House recognized the significance of this legislation and acted on it so quickly, and I look forward to seeing the Senate take up this important bill in the coming weeks so that we can work to rebuild Michigan’s economy.”
