“This budget proposal offers items both good and bad. My major concern is that working families are being asked to pay for the state’s deficit through cuts to DHS and DCH, a deficit caused by overly generous tax credits to profitable corporations. Working families already had to make sacrifices after we taxed retirement income and slashed school funding. My hope is that we can bring the business community to the table, and see how they can help fill this budget hole so working families don’t need to shoulder the burden yet again.”
