“I became a State Representative to help guide our state government through difficult times, stand up for families and our city, create jobs for our workers, support our schools and create a stronger Michigan. I cannot believe that the Legislature is wasting its time on a proposal to control the population of wild pigs. It’s even more appalling that lawmakers are wasting taxpayer dollars on this effort, especially in light of cuts to education. We should not be sacrificing our children’s future by taking money out of our classrooms using it to hunt wild pigs. This is a waste of money and a waste of our time. The Legislature should be focused on issues that our residents care about and working to revitalize our economy.”
