WARREN, Mich., Nov. 16, 2022 — Community members are invited to attend an educational presentation on fire safety and prevention and tour Center Line Fire Hall Station facility hosted by state Rep. Lori M. Stone (D-Warren). This event aims to help community members reduce the risk of property loss, injury and death caused by fire. Fire trucks and other public safety vehicles will be on site.
Location: Center Line Fire Hall Station/City Hall
Address: 7070 E. 10 Mile Road, Center Line
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 29
Time: 7-8 p.m.
“Fire safety is more than stop, drop and roll. It’s not everyday we get to hear from three experts in the field of fire safety, get a safety demonstration and take a tour of the fire station. I am looking forward to it,” Stone said. “I hope to see you all there for this important and unique event — let’s help cultivate a safer and more knowledgeable community.”
Free resources and refreshments will be available. Those who attend may receive a free smoke detector, allocated from the Fire Safety Grant. The grant is used to fund resources to equip and train emergency personnel, enhance efficiencies and support community fire resilience.
Stone will also provide information on current legislation that can assist families and the communities of her district. Additional presenters are MI Prevention/Community Risk Reduction Division Chief Bureau of Fire Services Kymberly Pashkowsky; Division Fire Chief/Fire Marshal of Center Line Public Safety Charles Schuber; and state Fire Marshal Director Kevin Sehlmeyer. The tour and demonstration will be conducted by Center Line Public Safety. Presentations will be both inside and outside the facility, so attendees are encouraged to dress accordingly.
