LANSING, Mich., Nov. 9, 2023 — The House of Representatives passed Senate Bills 613614615 and 616 today to create financial disclosure requirements for state elected officials and candidates for those offices. After the votes, Speaker of the House Joe Tate (D-Detroit) issued the following statement:

“Tonight, the Michigan House delivered on our promise to put people first, choosing action over complacency. We worked in a bipartisan fashion to bring transparency and accountability to our state government, reflecting the wishes of our constituents.”
