MADISON HEIGHTS – State Representative Jim Townsend (D-Royal Oak) is inviting residents to an Education Task Force meeting on funding cuts on Wednesday, April 20, in Madison Heights. At the event, Townsend will be joined by the Democratic Vice Chair of the House Appropriations School Aid SubcommitteeEllen Cogen Lipton (D-Huntington Woods). The lawmakers will discuss how the Governor’s budget proposal will affect Michigan schools and our children, as well as answer questions from members of the community. All residents are highly encouraged to attend to share their thoughts and have their questions answered.
