Hello Friends,

I wanted to make sure you were aware of the last events I will be hosting before Session ends in Lansing during the district work period.

Tonight, May 9, at 6 p.m., I’m hosting a virtual town hall on economic development and redevelopment in Genesee County, with special guest Tyler Rossmaessler from the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance. On June 13, at 6 p.m., I’ll be hosting a virtual town hall on public safety. Click here for the registration link: here.

American Sign Language interpreters will be present at the virtual events. Please reach out to my office at JohnCherry@house.mi.gov or by phone at 517-373-7515 for additional accommodations for these events. Each event will stream on Facebook and Zoom.

For more information or to register for these events, click here. I hope you will join me. If you are unable to attend but have something to share, please reach out to my office. My staff and I can help with the items listed here and often more.

Unemployment

Not sure how to get your unemployment problem solved? We can file a report and get you a call back from the UIA.

Utilities

Worried about how you’re going to make your next payment or need to get an issue solved with your utility provider? We can connect you with resources to help cover your bills or reach out to your provider and the Michigan Public Service Commission for you.

State & Local Offices

Need to get a hold of your DHHS caseworker? Can’t figure out issues with your property taxes? We can connect you with state and local offices.

Federal Help

My office can’t help you with federal issues, but we can connect you to your federal congressman and make sure they have the information they need to help you.

Information Requests

Do you have a question about Michigan laws? Not quite sure what the news was talking about? My office can help you get the information you need.

Congratulatory Tributes & Letters of Support

Need to highlight a special occasion? Is your organization applying for a grant? Making sure special people and businesses in our community get the recognition they deserve is important to me. Reach out if you’d like a tribute or a letter of support for a deserving person or business.
