Reproductive Freedom Town Hall

Oct. 12 at 6 p.m.

Canton Township Administration Building, Township Board Room (1150 S. Canton Center Road in Canton)

Join me on Oct. 12 for our community town hall focused on Reproductive Freedom. The town hall will be hosted by our office and Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote MI (APIA Vote-MI). We will discuss reproductive health care, legislation pending in the Michigan Legislature surrounding reproductive freedom (including the right to an abortion) and how reproductive freedom is connected to racial justice.

You will hear not just from me as your state representative, but legal and medical experts who focus on reproductive freedom and the health disparities that exist in reproductive health care.

Our special guest speakers include:

  • Bonsitu Kintaba, Deputy Director of American Civil Liberties Union of MI
  • Sarah Lally, BSN, RN, HBN-BC, Center for Health Disparities Innovations & Studies at Eastern Michigan University
  • Melissa Daub, Wayne County Commissioner
  • Representation from Planned Parenthood of MI

More information can be found on our website here and on social media.
