Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My next virtual coffee hour will take place this upcoming Tuesday, August 18, at 10:30 a.m. instead of our usual Monday time due to a recent change in the session calendar. Register here in advance if you would like to take part. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

I’m also pleased to announce that I will also be holding a virtual Happy Hour on Thursday, August 20, from 5:30-7 p.m. focused on the issue of stormwater overflow in our communities and the steps each of us can take to prevent harmful runoff from reaching Lake St. Clair. We will be joined by special guest speakers Sam Haapaniemi from The Nature Conservancy and Environmental Resources Manager Jeff Bednar from Macomb County Public Works. If you’d like to join us, register here and we’ll send you additional information.

After this week, we will be returning to our normal coffee hour schedule, but the events will still be taking place virtually.

The schedule is as follows:

  • The first Saturday of each month.
  • The third Monday of each month.
  • Thursday evening happy hours every other month, with exact dates to be announced as they approach.

I am looking forward to getting back to speaking with all of you on a more regular basis, and I hope you can join us!

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hertel
State Representative
18th House District
