Dear Friend,
Happy New Year! We are kicking off 2021 with a conversation about the new COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. There has been a lot of confusion about the vaccine, and how it works. It has been almost a year since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have lost so many loved ones and faced many challenges as a community. I know it’s been difficult, and I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your sacrifice, courage and dedication during these troubling times. With your commitment to our health and safety, you’ve made a difference in Michigan.
I know many of you have questions about the vaccine and its distribution, which is why I have partnered with my colleague, Sen. Stephanie Chang, to assemble a panel of doctors to answer your questions.
Joining me will be the following special guests:
- Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian – Michigan Department of Health and Human Services
- Dr. Ijeoma Opara – Wayne State University School of Medicine
- Dr. Mouhanad Hammami, Wayne County Chief Medical Strategist
Please join us tomorrow, Tonight, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. You can watch it on Facebook by clicking here or search @RepAiyash on Facebook.
I look forward to seeing you soon, and please continue to let me know your questions, thoughts or concerns via e-mail at abrahamaiyash@house.mi.gov or the office phone at 517-373-1008.
