A public health Advisory has been issued regarding a Possible Harmful Algal Bloom in Ford Lake in Ypsilanti Township. For the benefit of area residents and lake users, I will be hosting an ONLINE virtual community meeting this Thursday at 6 p.m. to provide information on how to keep yourself and your family safe.
The meeting will feature a panel of experts who will detail what is known about this possible Harmful Algal Bloom, spell out the dangers, dispel any myths, inform lake users how to stay safe, lay out what is being done to address the problem and talk about ways to prevent future occurrences.
Join me along with officials from Ypsilanti Township, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, the Washtenaw County Health Department, the Huron River Watershed Council and others:
