Wayne County is offering financial assistance for residents impacted by the flooding in June.
Funds will help cover the damages that neither FEMA nor private property insurance covers. These include goods and belongings, such as carpets, couches, drywall and food, among other things.
You can even use these funds to cover the costs of rebuilding your home as long as you provide itemized quotes or receipts from your contractor.
You can access the application here. It will be open from Sept. 7 to Sept 21.
If there’s anything else either my staff or I can do to assist you and your family, never hesitate to email me at KarenWhitsett@house.mi.gov or call (517) 373-6990.
Together, we will rebuild from this disaster. We are in this together!
