LANSING — Last night, the Speaker of the House announced committee assignments for the 2019-20 legislative session. State Rep. Robert Wittenberg (D-Huntington Woods) was named Democratic Vice Chair of the House Insurance Committee. In response to his appointment, Rep. Wittenberg issued the following statement:
“I look forward to utilizing my experience in the insurance industry as I take on this new responsibility to help ensure fairness in our insurance markets. Insurance plays a key role in our state’s economy and many of our lives, and I am eager to hit the ground running to work on sensible reforms that will protect every person in the state of Michigan.”
