LANSING, Mich., Aug. 20, 2021 — State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) recently made several staff announcements, including the promotion of Sophia Rishar as legislative director.
Rishar previously served as Witwer’s constituent services liaison for two years before her promotion. She is from the 71st House District and attended Grand Ledge High School and Northwestern Michigan College.
Witwer also hired Jocelyn McMichael as her new constituent services liaison.
McMichael previously served as a legislative assistant for House Democratic Leader Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township). She is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s in political science with a minor in women and gender studies.
“I am happy Sophia and Jocelyn will hit the ground running to fulfill the needs of people in the 71st district,” Witwer said. “They are both amazing additions to the team.”
