LANSING, Mich., Sept. 22, 2021 — The Michigan House of Representatives passed a budget that includes historic investments in health care, child care and infrastructure. It will also fund the purchase of a new ladder fire truck for the Delta Township Regional Fire Department. State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) issued the following statement in support of the budget’s passage:
“This bipartisan budget directly addresses the needs of Delta Township. I fought hard to get our firefighters $1.4 million in funding to help them purchase a new ladder fire truck. I am going to make sure that our first responders get the resources they need. I’m proud to support a budget that will also support policing, senior care and infrastructure in my district. Great things happen when Republicans and Democrats work together. I will continue to work across the aisle to fight for Delta Township and the entire 71st District.”
