LANSING — State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) presented a special tribute this morning to Bethany Augustine, owner of Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, after she was awarded the 2019 ATHENA Leadership Award by the Grand Ledge Chamber of Commerce. The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented annually to recognize those that strive toward professional development, excellence in their field, devote time and energy to their community, and pave the way for other women in business.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economies, and due to Bethany’s tireless work, entrepreneurial spirit and devotion to excellence, Flour Child Bakery has become a staple in the Grand Ledge community,” said Witwer. “As supporters of this wonderful bakery gather to congratulate her on this well-deserved award, we are proud to add our voice of appreciation with this tribute.”
