State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) stands with representatives from Ducks Unlimited to accept the Co-Legislator of the Year Award on Sept. 27, 2024.

 

LANSING, Mich., Oct. 7, 2024 — State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) was recognized as the 2024 Ducks Unlimited Co-Legislator of the Year last month, alongside state Rep. Sarah Lightner (R-Springport). The award recognizes Witwer’s commitment to uplifting the conservation and protection work Ducks Unlimited provides for wetland ecosystems across Michigan. In response to receiving this recognition, Witwer issued the following statement:

“I am honored to receive this recognition from Ducks Unlimited, an organization that has had a profound impact on the conservation of Michigan’s wetlands. The health of our wetlands is intertwined with the wellbeing of communities and local economies across the state. I want to extend my gratitude for the remarkable progress Ducks Unlimited achieved for habitat conservation in our state, and to reaffirm my utmost support and appreciation for the relationship between Ducks Unlimited and our Legislature.
