CHARLOTTE, Mich., Aug. 5, 2024 — State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) spoke today at the groundbreaking ceremony for the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow’s new Eaton Oncology & Infusion Center. Witwer helped secure $2 million in funding for the center, which will provide comprehensive cancer treatment services including infusions and supportive care.

“This center marks a step forward for health care access in Eaton County,” Witwer said. “Patients and their families can walk through this center’s front doors knowing that the oncologists, nurses and support staff will aid them every step of the way. I am proud to have helped deliver funding that ensures the families of Charlotte and the wider Eaton County community can get the essential cancer care they need.”

The new center in Charlotte joins five other U-M Health-Sparrow cancer locations in Mid-Michigan, expanding access to life-saving cancer treatment and health care for communities in Eaton County.
