WARREN, Mich., Sept. 30, 2024 — A car crash in Warren this morning left two people dead and two police officers in critical condition, according to MLive. The crash occurred between a police vehicle and a Dodge Durango at the intersection of Schoenherr Road and Prospect Avenue. State Rep. Mai Xiong (D-Warren), who represents the district in which the crash took place, issued the following statement in response:
“I extend my deepest condolences to the friends and family of the two people who passed in this tragic accident — the pain of this sudden loss is something no one should have to go through. I want to thank the Warren Police Department for its continued work to investigate this accident while two of their fellow officers remain in critical condition. Their professionalism and commitment to ensuring justice is served in the face of great emotional turmoil does not go unnoticed. I wish both officers a speedy and smooth recovery, and my heart goes out to their family, friends and fellow officers in this difficult time.”
